HOME HEALTH CARE Medical care that is covered by insurance and requires a doctor's order to begin. Services include: nursing, physical, occupational and/or speech therapy and other services such a medical social worker, along with ongoing clinician/physician support for homebound patients and their families. LEARN MORE Non medical services to help people remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home while providing relief and support for family caregivers. Home care is not covered through traditional medical insurance, but cash and other forms of payment can cover care, including long term care insurance, respite care programs, veterans assistance, and more. Who Would Benefit? People who are returning home from a hospital or skilled nursing stay, people in assisted living communities or at home needing to regain independence following a fall, wound, people needing medication management, or other medical needs as determined by a doctor.
