We Are Companion Care

Consider choosing a companion care agency over a private caregiver to ensure the safety of your loved one. Sequoia Companion Care is licensed, bonded and insured, and our caregivers undergo extensive background checks. We are RN owned and operated, and our sister company, Sequoia Home Health, has nurses and physical therapists who provide our Companion Care caregivers with additional training.

At Sequoia Companion Care, LLC, we are waiting to serve your every need in the comfort of your own home. We offer high quality caregivers, CNAs, and personal care assistants who are highly trained and certified in your care needs.

Our Mission

As the area's leading in-home companion care provider, we offer the very best, compassionate care for the elderly. It is our goal to improve the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness of our clients, and that is exactly what we do—every day.

What is In-Home Care?

Companion care, or in-home care is a service that provides assistance with a wide range of non-medical needs, as well as companionship for seniors who want to remain at home, be it their own home, a loved one's residence, or an assisted living community.

Home Care Services Can Include:

We offer a variety of in-home care services to give our clients the specific care they need. If there is an in-home care service you’d like assistance with that is not mentioned here, let us know. We work with you to tailor your in-home care plan to your needs.

Unskilled medical assistance is offered in the way of daily medication reminders. Our personal care attendants do not set up medications, give injections, or determine when a medication may be given. They can, however, remind a client when to take their medication, or assist in a non-medical manner with client self administration.

Our personal care attendants can prepare a light meal for the client whether it be from a requested recipe or meal plan--or simply whipping up a light meal. Special dietary needs are placed on the care plan for viewing and discussed at time of plan set up.

Whether it be providing non-medical services or simply companionship, our trained personal care attendants are matched up for compatibility and client satisfaction. Personal care attendants are screened upon hire with two reference checks, drug testing, fingerprinting, and background checks. Personal care attendants are TB tested, pass a physical, and are trained with monthly classes. They are competency screened after training upon hire. Personal care attendants also are required to have a valid drivers license for client transport or running errands. Sequoia Companion Care is licensed, insured and bonded. We are RN owned and operated.

Trained personal care assistants will assist in areas of need such as personal grooming, bathing, dressing, stand-by ambulation, transfers, toileting, meal preparation, transportation and errands, medication reminders, laundry, and light housekeeping. Our personal care attendants receive training from physical therapists in an on-site skills lab for use of equipment and transfer training using proper and safe techniques.
